Vivienne Westwood 1998 denim pirate set - runway

Cut from the signature denim-tartan of the Spring 1998 "Tied to the Mast" collection, this set carries all the codes of Westwood’s deconstructed tailoring. The jacket is sharply contoured with curved paneling, bias cut, raw fringed edges and gleaming pirate gold sabre buttons that echo the season’s swashbuckling mood. The wrap skirt is secured with the original leather side straps and falls in an asymmetric, deliberately undone drape, mirroring the collection’s rebellious construction. A rare runway two-piece capturing the exact spirit of Westwood’s late-90s, seen on the campaign & runway.
