Versus 1996 Nightfall Silk Gown

Sheer black silk chiffon maxi dress from Spring 1996; a shorter version of this dress appeared on the collection’s runway. Silver and gunmetal beads form small abstract curves, concentrated through the bodice and thinning towards the hem. Fine spaghetti straps frame a softly dipped neckline, with shaped bust seams and a low scooped back. The close-fitting silhouette falls into a fluid skirt with a high side slit.
