From Moschino's Fall 2001 Cheap & Chic "Maid in Italy" collection, a cream thick cotton midi printed with a wardrobe's worth of garments strung up like laundry on an invisible line, dresses, tops, handbags and heels tumbling across the fabric as if just pulled from the wash and left to dry in the Italian sun. Moschino's wink at domesticity, turned completely on its head. And written right into the fabric, the label's own quiet manifesto: "It's better to dress as you wish than as you should." Fitted through the hip with a clean waistband and a back zip, lined.
