From Fall 1997, this black maxi dress combines two attached layers: an opaque underdress beneath a completely sheer outer dress traced with raised, velvety floral motifs. The transparent ground makes the textured flowers appear to float over the lining, creating depth within the black-on-black fabric. Wide boat neckline, a deeply scooped back and a fitted silhouette that gently flares towards the hem.
