From the Spring 2006 runway, a collection Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana built entirely in white lace to celebrate their 20th anniversary. This D&G dress is constructed from an exceptionally floral stretch lace, unlined and semi-sheer, that maps the body with almost surgical precision. The folded bardot neckline can be worn straight across both shoulders, slipped off one, pulled higher, or played with asymmetrically, the extreme stretch of the fabric accommodates all of it. Three-quarter sleeves finish with a small lace frill at the cuff. T the back features a central zip and a gathered ruching that fans outward toward the hem, making the most of every curve. A discreet back slit allows movement. And in a quietly brilliant detail, small ventilation openings are placed under each arm !!! Dolce & Gabbana's way of making the unwearably tight, wearable. White lace, body-skimming and slightly sheer, a perfect garment for a wedding reception, a honeymoon dinner, or any evening that deserves to be remembered. Incredibly rare !
